statement
In the course of my ongoing research into the sonic experience of museums, I have developed a lexicon of symbols that I combine with intuitive mark making to document my sonic observations of museums. This practice not only records listening data but also serves as an ear training exercise. To create the drawings, I choose a specific location within a museum, close my eyes, and complete the drawing blindly, in situ, for a pre-determined period of time. This process results in drawings that are part recording, part information graphic, and part aesthetic representation.
