statement
All my life I have felt attracted to the shapes of the animals, countless and completely different took me to represent them in a different way. In this work I de-constructed them, drawing their shapes randomly to later find a way to construct them again in a totally different shape. At distance, you will see an animal that apparently looks real but when you get closer you will see many eyes staring at you and clashing trying to dominate other shapes. It is natural law.
Drawing has been my best way to express myself and I find it very natural. What really impress me once, was when I saw some sketches done in graphite by Salvador Dali in which his purity and how clean his line was, inspired me to keep working on mine. I know I am far away from Dali expertise and I do not even want to get there but every time I start a drawing I disconnect from everything. I put care at the beginning but then all becomes mechanical. I play how soft I can do a line.
I do not pretend to be any philosophical in my work. I express what I want to say but I rather let the observer get his own impression of what is starting at.
