Manifest’s new Printmaking Studio is a professional, publicly accessible space for etching and stone lithography. This studio brings a traditionally academic discipline into an open, shared environment where artists of all levels can learn, practice, and grow—part of a broader continuum of studio offerings in drawing, painting, and photography at Manifest.

Open Print Lab provides supervised access to Manifest’s printmaking studio for participants who have taken a 4-week introductory course in either etching or lithography, or completed a Qualification Review and have been approved for independent work.

Booking Structure: Pass holders may reserve up to four 1-hour time blocks at a time. Studio access is scheduled in hourly time blocks. Participants must reserve each hour they intend to use the studio. If you plan to work for multiple hours, you must reserve consecutive time slots. Entry and exit are based on your reserved time. Late arrivals may forfeit their slot. Booking will happen through our Eventbrite portal once Open Print Labs go live.

Important! Access is restricted to approved users only. Participants must complete Introduction to Lithography and/or Introduction to Etching 4-week course in order to gain access to open sessions. Experienced printmakers in etching and/or lithography may schedule a Qualification Review (offered on the first Sunday of the month) in place of the prerequisite training.

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION FOUR DAYS PER WEEK SCHEDULE Sunday* (etching only) 1-5pm Monday* (litho only) 4-9pm Tuesday 4-8pm Wednesday 10am-2pm *These sessions may alternate based on course needs, and will be noted in the ticketing information. Note: on very rare occasions a session may be canceled on a particular day due to overlap with a Manifest instructed course or public artist demo scheduled for the same space. Communications about such a closure will be made in advance, and noted on our calendar and within the ticketing information. Capacity: Maximum 12 participants at any given block of studio time.
