Description
Spend a Saturday drawing plant forms at the Civic Garden Center!
These workshops will focus on sketching and drawing plants from the several gardens available to the public. Knowledge and history of certain plants will be addressed, extended periods of observing and drawing in one spot, and freedom to choose mediums of your choice for observations. The workshops will allow for personal style explorations from the more illustrative to the more expressive approaches in drawing and sketching. It will also bring to attention how keen observation explores visual detail, positive and negative spaces and making comparisons between different shapes, proportions and texture. We will meet onsite at the front entrance of CGC. Bring your own lunch or snack. Dress for the weather and be prepared for either rain or sunshine.
