creative research gallery and drawing center
a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization

On August 31, 2021 our 17th season came to a close. Thanks to the generosity of a record breaking number of donors across the year we met our Annual Fund goal.

Each year the Manifest Annual Fund runs from Sept. 1st - Aug. 31st, with a focus launch occurring in October, championed by our board of directors and key ambassadors.

This operational fund, provided by individual donors, community members, teachers, and artists from around the world who believe in Manifest, and who value the essential role of the visual arts and artists in our world, keeps our programming alive, doors open, and creativity flowing. Without this supportive global community Manifest would not exist.

Now, as of September 1st, we have begun what will be revealed as the most consequential year for Manifest since our organization's founding almost 20 years ago. We will need many friends to help make our vision real.

SUPPORT MANIFEST SEASON 18 TODAY!

Manifest is a community-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

EVERY YEAR

Every year our donors contribute about 15% of Manifest's operating costs, making what we do possible!
This may seem like a small percentage, but it covers our entire facility costs for all Manifest offices, galleries, artist residency studios, and our Drawing Center studios and darkroom in East Walnut Hills and Walnut Hills!

This season continues the additional impact of membership. Every year an amount equivalent to 10% of each season's Annual Fund contributions are designated as tuition waivers for two scholarship funds for Drawing Center programs—a merit scholarship for high school and college students, and a 'bridge fund' to support the transition of emerging artists from academia into a career in the arts through study and professional development in the artist-culture at the Manifest Drawing Center. So, not only does community support sustain our essential facilities, without which we could not do what we do, it also empowers Manifest's support of individual artists at a formative stage in their development.

This year with the pandemic upon us this funding means even more, helping us sustain our heartbeat while adjusting and holding fast through the storm.

As a community-minded 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization, founded upon ideals formed both in academic pursuit and a commitment to quality urban living, Manifest relies heavily on private donations to cover operating costs. Since 2004 the Manifest board of directors has taken serious measures to insure that Manifest is a low-cost/maximum benefit presence in East Walnut Hills, Walnut Hills, and Greater Cincinnati, and a progressive influence on the arts in our region and around the world. Our goal is to provide a context for the study and experience of excellent visual art, without making compromises otherwise necessary in a commercial art-dealing gallery or larger organization. Through its rich programming Manifest brings the world to Cincinnati, and represents Cincinnati to the world, one work of art at a time. Manifest starts with the artist and radiates outwards from there.
